A brow lift is an effective way to restore a youthful appearance to the upper portion of the face. This procedure smoothes away creases that tend to form around the eyebrows and forehead, while refreshing tired eyes. Today, there are a number of options in brow lift techniques that allow us to customize your procedure to your specific needs. Two techniques that have been perfected by Dr. Mashhadian throughout his surgical experience are the endoscopic and coronal brow lift procedures.

Endoscopic Brow Lift An endoscopic brow lift is a less invasive procedure that works particularly well on mild to moderate signs of aging in the upper face. This surgery involves a number of small incisions along the hairline, in which special tools can be used to adjust the underlying facial muscles and remove excess tissue and skin. The primary advantages to an endoscopic brow lift are a shorter recovery period and minimal post-surgical scarring. Coronal Brow Lift The coronal brow lift is the traditional lift procedure that involves an incision that stretches across the scalp behind the hairline. This technique may be recommended for more advanced signs of aging that might not be effectively addressed with the less invasive endoscopic brow lift. The primary advantage to the coronal brow lift is more dramatic results that will last for many years. Making the Choice The choice between an endoscopic and coronal brow lift is one that will be made between you and Dr. Mashhadian. Criteria for determining the best procedure for your needs will include the amount of skin sagging and creasing, the length of the forehead and your desired results. As a general rule, patients in their 30s or 40s with relatively recent signs of aging tend to prefer the endoscopic technique, while older patients with significant aging signs usually go with the coronal brow lift. No matter which brow lift procedure you choose, the success of your procedure will depend on the skills and experience of your surgeon.
